1.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
It is important that these TERMS AND
CONDITIONS are read carefully. The person who makes
the booking accepts these Terms and Conditions on
behalf of all members of the party and agrees to comply
with them. By making this booking you confirm that
you are acting with the consent of the party you are
making the booking for.
2.
RESERVATIONS.
In
first instance it is necessary that you e-mail to request availability
of your reservation prior to sending the completed villa booking form
and deposit. You should confirm your acceptance of our offer by e-mail.
3.
BOOKING FORM.
After
confirmation of the reservation, please fill in the VILLA BOOKING FORM
(this will be sent to you by email) and submit it to us together with
the required deposit. No reservation will be accepted from any person
less than 18 years old.
Verbal
bookings will be held for 7 Days ONLY, or as agreed with the owner and
we request that cancellations of reservations are confirmed by email as
soon as possible.
4.
PAYMENT.
With
each reservation a DEPOSIT of 30% is required. On receipt of your completed
Booking Form and deposit, the villa will be reserved. A confirmation of
holiday reservation, detailing all the information concerning key
collection etc, will be sent to you by e-mail.
The
BALANCE of the rental fee must be paid at least EIGHT (8) WEEKS before
the commencement of the holiday. Please note that you will not receive
any written statements; if the balance is not received on the due date,
we reserve the right to cancel your booking and make the dates
available to others, and if this happens, your deposit will be
non-refundable.
If an application is made for accommodation to be taken up within eight
weeks, the full rental fee will be required with the reservation
application. "Last Minute" bookings by arrangement with the
owners, subject to availability.
5.
RENTAL PERIOD The rental
period is based on the number of nights spent in the accommodation.
Access to the property will be from 14.00 hours on the day of arrival
and from 10.00 hrs on the day of departure.
6.
CANCELLATIONS. The
owner reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation without
being under obligation to assign any reason and will accept no
liability in respect of the refusal or cancellation, but in such case
he shall refund all monies paid by the visitor in respect of such
reservation. In the event that you cancel the booking no refund will be
made for any monies paid. In certain cases any losses, if incurred
involuntarily, may be covered by insurance that you may have taken out.
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING BY E-MAIL.
The
owner reserves the right to cancel any reservation if faced with 'Force
Majeure' (i.e. unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our
control) the consequences of which we could not avoid. These include
but are not limited to war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity,
industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood, adverse
weather conditions or the threat of any of these. If we make such a
cancellation, we will do our best to offer the Client a refund of all
monies paid in respect of the Clients reservation. It sometimes, if
rarely, occurs that other situations arise, equally beyond our control;
these include but are not limited to failure of equipment, loss of
water supply, electricity or access etc. If the problem cannot be fixed
within a reasonable time period, then we will offer appropriate
compensation. This applies only in the case of problems with our villa
and does not apply for instance to an area wide loss of electrical or
water supply.
7.
BED LINEN.
All
bedding and towels are provided in the cost of the holiday. Visitors
must bring their own beach towels.
8.
AIR-CONDITIONING. Air conditioning is optional at extra
cost, (no charge for lets 2 weeks & over
- see tariffs), unless otherwise agreed. Your usage of all air-conditioning
units in the villa shall comply with the following
conditions:
The
visitor and or his / her party must be economical with the
air-conditioning switching on the units WHEN NEEDED and make sure that,
when they leave the villa during their stay, ALL THE UNITS ARE SWITCHED
OFF. Note that approximately 1-2 MINUTES after turning-on, the
air-conditioner will bring the room temperature to the desired level.
Ensure
that when the air-conditioning units are working ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS
have to be closed, as the compressors are likely to be damaged
depriving guests of their service.
9.
PERSONAL INSURANCE COVER/LIABILITY.
Guests
are strongly advised to obtain holiday insurance with suitable cover,
including cancellations. The use of the accommodation is at the
visitor's risk and no liability will be accepted by the owner for any
loss or damage of guest's belongings, or personal injury or death
however incurred. Your insurance company will be pleased to advise you.
10.
COLLECTION OF KEYS & NOTIFICATION OF ARRIVAL.
Visitors
are required to contact the owner at least 2 weeks before arrival date
to (a) request where keys are to be obtained (if this information was
not given to them before) and (b) to advise of any flight changes /
time of arrival.
11.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE.
Visitors
must clearly understand that the accommodation will NOT BE AVAILABLE
BEFORE 15.00 hrs (3.00pm) on the arrival date. On the day of departure,
the visitor must arrange to vacate NOT LATER THAN 10.00a.m. If there a
gap in the change over rental period requests may be made to stay in
the villa until closer to departure time, but this must be pre-arranged
with the villa - owner.
12.
BREAKAGES AND CLEANLINESS.
The
accommodation is made available for letting on the clear understanding
that if is left in a THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION at the time of
vacating by the visitor. The visitor must also ensure that all waste is
removed from the premises.
A Key
Return/ Breakage Deposit of £100 is required at the time of balance
payment, which we shall refund in full after your holiday once we know
that the keys have been returned by 10.00 am on the date of departure,
and provided no losses or damages have been incurred in the
Villa.
The
visitor will be held responsible for any damage or breakages that occur
and such incidents must be reported to the Owner. In the event of
breakages, a deduction will be made from the £100 security deposit.
Visitors are not permitted to move furniture or equipment without prior
consent of the Owner. If approval is given to move anything, it will be
the visitor's responsibility to return the same to the original
position before departure. Equipment must not be moved from the
premises for use outside.
13.
CONTRACT.
The
visitor and his/her party have the right to occupy the accommodation
for the purpose of a holiday only. The accommodation is to be occupied
by the confirmed party ONLY and no authority will be given for other
persons (other than those accepted by the reservation) to have access
or use of accommodation unless permission has been requested and agreed
by the Owner. Under no circumstances may the number of persons exceed
the maximum number of persons as quoted. It is not permissible to
assign, let, part with possession of the accommodation, nor allow any
other person other than those named on the Booking Form received to
occupy the accommodation.
14.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
You are responsible for ensuring that
you are in possession of all necessary travel documents
and that they are valid. You are responsible for any
disruption in your own travel arrangements. It is
your responsibility to ensure that your passport,
travel documents and money is put in a safe place
in the property, and the property is locked when you
vacate it.
15.
BEHAVIOUR.
It
is the visitor's responsibility to ensure that he/she and the members
of his/her party do not behave in a boisterous way or in a way which
causes offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property
belonging to the owner or others. In such circumstances the villa
owners have the right to terminate arrangements made on behalf of
visitor and the members of his/her party, in which case the owner's
responsibility to the visitor and his/her party ceases immediately and
there can be no refunds, no payment of compensation and no
reimbursement of any cost or expenses they may incur as a result.
Further, they will be liable to reimburse the owner for any expenses
whatsoever incurred as a result of their behaviour. The owner and or
his agent(s) maintain the right to visit and check the property indoors
and outdoors at their own discretion.
16.
LIGHTINGS The
visitor and or his / her party are strongly advised to ensure that all indoor and
outdoor lightings around the villa are switched off AT NIGHT BEFORE
THEY RETIRE. They will attract unwelcome insects and mosquitoes. We
also advise to ensure that fly screens are used at all times for same
reasons. Please make sure to do the same before leaving the villa.
Please
check in the morning to make sure that outdoor lights have not been
left on, not always easy to see in the bright sunshine.
17.
MATTERS BEYOND OUR CONTROL: BUILDING WORKS
Since
its ascension to the EU, Cyprus
has become a Mecca
for developers, and many new developments are in progress. Any building
work, which may commence in the local area, is outside of our control,
and we cannot be held responsible for any resulting disturbance. Whilst
we assure you of our best endeavours to minimize any inconvenience, we
regret that we cannot accept any liability in this case.
18.
ACCURACY OF PRINTED MATTER.
While
every possible care is taken in preparation of the accommodation
details advertised, the visitor will fully appreciate that the human
element cannot be disregarded and the Owner will not accept any
liability for any loss incurred. Should an error be made and later
noted all those concerned will be notified.
19.
COMPLAINTS
The owner's contact details will be provided and in the unlikely event
of a problem with your villa occurring, whilst you are in Cyprus
, you must inform the villa owners so that the matter can be put right.
All claims must be addressed directly to the villa owners.
20.
ALTERATIONS BY THE OWNERS
Although changes to villa website are
infrequent, we reserves the right to change the description
of the villa or service at any time, in which case
we will endeavour to notify you of all changes before
commencement of the booking date, if it is practical
to do so and if the changes are major. No compensation
will be payable by us in such cases. No claims will
be accepted for costs or additional expenses incurred
as a result of any changes.
