If you don't get a vehicle, it costs about £15
CY for a taxi from Paphos airport to the villa.
If you book with a UK travel agent, don't forget to ask about and a hire car at the same
time. It's definitely easier to book from the UK than
on arrival at Paphos airport. You will need your full UK
driving licence to pick up a vehicle.
Even if you book in the UK , usually you will have to pay for the tank fill up
locally. It's always a good idea to check the tank really is full
before you drive away; one good point is that fuel is just over half
price to UK

I've tried lots of hire companies in Paphos. I've
usually got a much better price by booking in advance,
especially in summer. It's usually impossible
to get a vehicle from Paphos airport unless you do book in advance,
they just don't keep many spare cars at the airport.

Complex Shop 10 – I always use this company now.. Costs around
CY£14 per day + fuel. They will leave a car at Paphos airport for your

direct. Don't forget he will charge in Cyprus
Pounds. Make sure insurance and all taxes are included in the price
quoted. He provides very good cars when booked direct. If you don't mind ringing Cyprus give him a try.
Expedia and Travelocity web sites
offer the chance to compare car rental prices. Expect about £100 - £150
/week car hire for a medium sized vehicle without air conditioning in
high season. Additional drivers cost £1-2 extra per day.

One small company in Larnaca that I
can recommend is SPH Rent A Car, Tel. +357 4
622111. They have always been excellent. They don't
have a base at Larnaca airport but if you book in advance they will
keep an eye on the local teletext and meet you when you arrive, even if
your flight is late. Alas no good if you are
flying into Paphos.
